1. Using Captcher

Captcher is operated by Noventix LLC in Columbia, Missouri (“Captcher,” “we” or “us”). These terms govern your use of the Captcher website, hosted application and Captcher Recorder browser extension.

By using Captcher, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use Captcher on behalf of an organization, you must have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

Our Privacy notice explains how account information, recordings and other data are handled.

2. Your account

Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials and connected recorder devices secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Do not share credentials or use another person’s account without permission.

If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password, revoke affected recorder connections and contact us. Access to the beta may require approval and may be subject to limits on usage or available features.

3. The free beta

Captcher is currently free during the open beta, with no credit card required. The service is in active development: features may be incomplete, change or be discontinued, and you may encounter errors or interruptions.

If we introduce paid plans, we will explain the applicable pricing and payment terms before you choose one. Participating in the free beta does not authorize us to charge you or enroll you automatically in a paid subscription.

Keep a copy of work you need.

Export important walkthroughs and check that they work in their intended environment. The beta should not be your only copy of essential training material.

4. Your content and permissions

You retain the rights you hold in recordings, text, images, brand assets and other content you submit. Using Captcher does not transfer ownership of that content to us.

You give Captcher a non-exclusive license to host, copy, process and adapt your content as needed to provide the service, including generating walkthroughs and making content available according to your publishing, sharing and export choices. This includes processing by service providers described in the Privacy notice.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to record a page, submit its content for processing and share the resulting walkthrough. Access to a website or application does not, by itself, give you permission to reproduce its content or disclose another person’s information.

Use test or synthetic data wherever possible. Automatic redaction does not identify every secret or personal detail. Review recordings before submission and review finished walkthroughs before sharing them.

Captcher’s software, branding and service materials remain the property of Noventix LLC or their respective owners. These terms permit use of the service; they do not transfer ownership of the service or grant rights to another party’s content or trademarks.

5. Acceptable use

Use Captcher lawfully and respect the rights of others. You must not:

  • Record, upload or share content without the necessary authorization, or infringe privacy, confidentiality or intellectual property rights.
  • Use the service for fraud, impersonation, harassment or other unlawful activity.
  • Upload malware or use recordings, embeds or exports to deliver malicious content.
  • Attempt to access accounts, recordings or systems you are not authorized to use, or bypass authentication, access controls or usage limits.
  • Disrupt the service or place an unreasonable load on its infrastructure.

6. AI output and sharing

AI-generated steps, instructions and edits can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for checking the output, correcting errors and ensuring that the training reflects the process you intend to teach.

Review the audience and contents of every published link, embed and export. Anyone who receives a downloaded copy may be able to keep or redistribute it. Removing a walkthrough from Captcher does not remove exported files or copies already held by others.

Third-party websites, learning platforms and integrations have their own terms and privacy practices. You are responsible for complying with those terms and verifying that exported training works in your intended browser, platform or learning management system.

7. Availability and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Captcher is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, that every recording will capture correctly, or that AI output will be accurate.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Noventix LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or business opportunities, arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

8. Ending access

You can stop using Captcher at any time. To request account closure or deletion of hosted data, follow the Privacy notice’s request procedure. Uninstalling the recorder or signing out does not delete your hosted account or submitted recordings.

We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to address a violation of these terms, protect the service or other people, or comply with legal requirements. We may also end the beta. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export your work before ending access, unless security or legal requirements prevent it.

Ending access does not remove copies you or other people have exported. Provisions about ownership, responsibility and limits of liability continue to apply to prior use where relevant.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the updated terms here with a revised date and provide notice of material changes before they take effect. If a change requires your consent, we will ask for it. If you do not agree to revised terms, stop using the service.

For questions about these terms, contact Noventix LLC at [email protected].
